The Golden Path is your purpose found.
The words you couldn’t find for that extreme pull, the longing
To create, to connect, to build, to learn, to master
When you find true happiness, peace and inspiration
When you walk your Golden Path, you find harmony
When you walk your Golden Path, your heart sings.

Following only my intuition, I found this spot,
As I connect to the land between Essex and Suffolk.
Appreciating its beauty, each mile at a time
Like a new lover, I explore its contours.
What makes it different? What makes it new?
Working with the light, the wildlife, the reflections, the clouds,
I taste the salty air on my tongue,
My neck still moist from the long walk.
With my camera engaged and my senses alert,
The photographer's eye scans for the perfect shot.

Man O' War Beach
A man at war within himself,
I wrestled to break the shackles that tore my life apart
Even if only for a time,
It was a descent into the edge of darkness,
A confrontation with my deepest fears,
A time to lose nearly all I held dear.
Yet, amid that numbness, that veil of night,
Deep within the cocoon of evolution,
I emerged anew, ready to begin again,
With a perspective transformed,
So many questions linger unanswered...
Now I stand at the cliff's edge,
Lungs filled with air, sweat glistening on my brow.
Understanding to come, but for now,
My strength has returned,
Alongside new dreams, fresh visions—
It’s time to believe in myself once more.
The Hidden View
Wiltshire
I climb through thickets, camera slung over my shoulder.
Scratch, tug, a poke in the eye—ouch!
The hidden view is worth the discomfort.
Pockets of red bloom against a backdrop of straw as far as my eyes can see.
Distant farms and quaint country houses are scattered along the horizon.
The warm touch of the cool breeze on my skin
I breathe deeply, wishing to wander among the glorious red flowers.
Click, click, click— I capture the timeless scene.
Now, where are my sunglasses? Lost in the brambles.
Still, it was worth it for this moment of pure inspiration.
Nature once again showing off her beauty.
Where am I? I have no idea.
Somewhere between Andover and Salisbury.
On the road again,
Exploring England and all her treasures.

The mist begins to part,
While the heron waits in silence,
As cows graze and take their fill.
The river meanders on,
Winding toward the sea;
I breathe in cool colours,
The crisp, fresh air, a sheer delight.

I count my blessings
At Cornbury Park.
The Horses of Hambleden

Walking the streets,
Retracing old steps—
No, willpower won’t be enough this time; that much I see.
A line is drawn.
I know there’s no going back, only forward,
Even though I don’t know the way,
Or where I’m going.
It feels good, this relief.
I’ll find the path again, but for now,
I’ll enjoy the summer—
The horses and the meadow.

Getting to Know You
Marvelling at those moments, all so new,
The unexpected, unannounced expressions of joy,
Entering the cold, cold loch on a hot day,
Taking off half your clothes— to hell with who’s watching.
But it’s me watching, in sheer delight,
With a boyish smirk across my face.
The boats, paddleboarders, the loch itself—
All there with their own agendas on a sunny day in June.
“Come on in,” you call for the third time.
“I’m happy watching,” and I truly am.
To see one so happy in the moment gives me pleasure;
I’ll take my fill too on this hot day in June, beside Loch Lomond.
